Terms of Service
Last updated August 10, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service are an agreement between Basset, Inc. ("Basset", "we", "us") and you, and govern your use of Basset, a daily field reporting application (the "Service"). By creating an account, accepting an invitation, or using the Service, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the company that invited you (the "Customer").
2. Accounts and access
Accounts are created by invitation from a Customer administrator. Each user must have their own account and keep their password confidential. Customer administrators control who is invited, what role each user holds (field, office, or admin), and which projects a field user can access. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
3. Subscription and per-seat billing
The Service is sold as a subscription billed per active user seat. Unless a written order or discount agreement states otherwise, the standard rate is $60 per seat per month, and a seat is counted for every user account belonging to the Customer, regardless of how often that user signs in. Billing begins when the subscription is activated; there is no free trial.
Seat counts are synchronized with the Customer's user list, so adding or removing users adjusts the amount billed for subsequent periods. Payments are processed by Stripe; Basset does not store full payment card details. Fees are charged in advance for each billing period and are non-refundable except where required by law.
4. Late payment and suspension
If a payment fails, the Customer's account may enter a limited grace period during which the Service continues to operate and administrators are notified in the application. If the balance remains unpaid after the grace period, access to create and edit reports may be suspended until payment is restored. Data is not deleted during suspension.
5. Customer data
The Customer owns the data it submits, including projects, daily reports, production entries, safety forms, photos, and notes. Basset processes that data only to provide and support the Service. Basset does not sell Customer data and does not use it for advertising. Customer data is logically separated by company, and users can access only the data belonging to their own company.
Administrators can export reports as PDFs and download report photos at any time. On request, the Customer can obtain a copy of its data before termination.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attempt to access data belonging to another company or user;
- probe, scan, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
- upload unlawful content or content you have no right to share;
- share account credentials or resell access to the Service;
- use the Service to violate safety, labor, or privacy laws.
7. Service availability and support
Basset aims to keep the Service available during working hours and to respond promptly to support requests sent to the contact address below. The Service is provided without a formal uptime guarantee unless a separate written service level agreement is in place. Maintenance may occasionally cause brief interruptions.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers for hosting and database services, payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, weather data, and AI-assisted translation of report notes. Using the Service means these providers may process the data necessary to perform those functions.
9. Termination
The Customer may cancel a subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Basset may suspend or terminate access for non-payment or for a material breach of these terms. After termination, Customer data is retained for a limited period to allow export and is then deleted on request.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is a record-keeping tool. It does not provide engineering, legal, or safety advice, and it does not replace the Customer's own compliance obligations. Except as required by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Basset's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees paid by the Customer in the twelve months preceding the claim, and Basset is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Changes to these terms
Basset may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated to Customer administrators by email or in the application before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
